Vernalift Mufflers

Centek's  VERNALIFT™ muffler can be used in many marine applications. The lift muffler was developed for installation in boats where the engine or genset is below the (LWL) and the engine gases had to be lifted above the water line to be drained.

The exhaust and silencing properties of this muffler were so successful. The original installations have expanded the product line to include large gasoline and diesel power plants with ratings to 2,000 hp. The VERNALIFT™ can be installed for marine use where the engine or generator is either above or below the LWL.

VERNALIFT™ mufflers exceed ABYC requirements for generator applications. Our VERNALIFT™ mufflers are ABS Type Certified.

The VERNALIFT™ exhaust mufflers are available in industry standard configurations or can be custom designed.

The Vernatone inline muffler has been accepted as standard equipment by many of the world's foremost ship builders in more installations than all competitor's products combined. The Vernatone is carefully engineered to minimize back pressure while providing excellent exhaust noise reduction. The all fiberglass muffler will not corrode or deteriorate when exposed to fresh or salt water in combination with either diesel or gasoline exhaust fumes.

A Vernatone is available for every type of marine engine installation. Our OEM builders use them for primary propulsion engines where the engine is above the water line. Vernatone exhaust mufflers are available for engine ratings from 5 hp to 2,000 hp.

This new exhaust silencer was designed specifically for use with underwater exhaust systems. It combines Centek's experience in muffler design with all the benefits of an underwater discharge. One of the benefits includes the elimination of the exhaust gases flowing back into the boat, commonly referred to as the "station wagon effect". Another benefit is the elimination of engine exhaust deposits (soot) staining the exterior surfaces of the boat.  The underwater exhaust is available in a vertical design for installation in the engine room as well as a horizontal design for mounting under the deck in the cockpit area.

This muffler design simplifies the conversion to underwater exhaust by combining the main engine exhaust and bypass line in one simple package. This muffler will greatly reduce the chance of vibrations associated with other underwater systems.

Centek exhaust fittings are lightweight, strong, non-corroding, and durable. The fittings are available in 45°,90° and 180° elbows. A full line of reducer elbows, surge chambers, reducer couplings, "T" and "Y" fittings are also available.

All exhaust system fittings are fiberglass and made of the same fire retardant materials used in the UL listed VERNATUBE™ filament wound tubing. Our fittings are easy to install when repairing, repowering or replacing a wet exhaust system. The OD's are manufactured to match our other components and are compatible with approved marine exhaust hose.
