Tiger Propellers &
Wedge Rudder fitted to 65' Fast Ferry
Two units of
tiger propellers and 2.3 meters high through hull wedge
rudders were fitted to a 65' long
Passenger Ferry operating in the United States. The ferry was designed to
safely transport commuters between New Belford and Martha's Vineyard,
Rhode Island, USA. The vessel was designed to have minimum environmental
impact on the local region while providing comfortable ride in open sea
conditions (with help of active ride control). The ferry is the result of
many years of low wash and sea keeping research carried out by Crowther
Design.
